EEG Technician

Job Summary

As an EEG Technician at Trinity Health, you will play a critical role in using specialized electroencephalographic machinery to record patients' brain waves' electrical activity. This position requires a strong understanding of state-of-the-art EEG equipment and the ability to perform diagnostic EEG procedures, including routine and portable EEG, sleep, electro cerebral silence, and 24-hour ambulatory EEG.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patients' questions and concerns, referring specific diagnostic, treatment, or prognosis questions to the patient's physician.
• Perform diagnostic EEG procedures, including routine and portable EEG, sleep, electro cerebral silence, and 24-hour ambulatory EEG.
• Demonstrate problem-solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an EEG technician, with preferred experience in routine, portable, sleep, electro cerebral silence, and 24-hour ambulatory EEG.
• Certification by ABRET and registration or registry eligibility in EEG.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check.
• Clerical and computer experience in E-MAR, clinical documentation, and standard Microsoft Office is desired.
• BLS or CPR Certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted, with certification required within six months of the start date.
