Job Summary:
This role handles day-to-day tasks to support the Human Resources department, assisting with HR policies, procedures, and programs. Supports specialized areas like employee relations, workforce planning, recruitment, training, and development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate records of new hire paperwork, training, attendance, disciplinary actions, leave of absence, and applicant tracking. Update HRIS data as needed (i.e., address, internal transfers or promotions, pay changes, etc.).
• Assist in coordinating meetings, trainings, and presentations, preparing reports for audits and regulatory compliance.
• Create HR-related communications and update electronic platforms to facilitate HR communication.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• Solid written/verbal communication skills for effective internal and external interaction.
• Firm interpersonal and customer service skills to handle sensitive situations tactfully.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and apply learnings in HR practices, policies, and regulations.
• Strong time-management, organization, and prioritization skills to respond to employee matters in a timely manner.
• Proficient Microsoft suite skills and ability to learn new technologies like HR information systems/databases.
