Basin Material Handling is on the lookout for a proficient and skilled MIG Welder to join our expanding team.

Primary Objective
The ideal candidate will be adept at executing a range of welding tasks. Familiarity with various welding apparatus is essential. The welder may also be tasked with additional responsibilities within the department or across other departments as directed by supervisors or management. Upholding quality standards is crucial, alongside adhering to the E2 process and accurately reporting quantities.

Key Responsibilities
Manually maneuver the electrode or welding gun along the designated weld line, ensuring the appropriate arc length and movement speed to achieve the required fusion depth and bead quality, assessed through the metal's color, the sound of the weld, and the size of the molten puddle.

Additional Responsibilities
Support other departments as needed. May take on the role of line leader, organizing workstations and verifying the weld quality of peers as necessary. Other tasks may be assigned as required.

Required Experience and Qualifications
Ability to:

• Interpret a calibrated tape measure.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Comprehend documents presented in written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled formats, including safety protocols, operational and maintenance guidelines, and quality manuals.
• Successfully complete an overhead crane training course.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm/4:30pm based on workflow
Availability for Saturdays and overtime as needed

Experience Requirements
A minimum of 6 months in welding is required, with 3 years preferred in welding, blueprint interpretation, and weld quality assessment.

Compensation
