Position Overview

The Safety Supervisor at Teksky plays a pivotal role in ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. This position is responsible for the implementation and management of safety protocols and compliance measures across various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate orientation and training sessions for new hires to promote safety awareness.
  • Oversee the execution of the Safety, Health, and Environmental Management System (SHEMS), including conducting regular inspections and supporting safety leadership initiatives.
  • Assist project teams in maintaining compliance with OSHA standards and ISO certifications.
  • Develop and maintain the project Emergency Action Plan to ensure preparedness.
  • Analyze incidents and near misses in collaboration with management to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Supervise subcontractors on-site regarding environmental health and safety matters.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the safety program.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Certification in OSHA 10-hour training and familiarity with OSHA regulations.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a related field, particularly in highway construction and management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to lead diverse teams and foster collaboration.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
