Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Merchandise Associate to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and adhering to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience: Role model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers, embodying a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
  • Merchandising: Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards, accurately processing and preparing merchandise for the sales floor.
  • Operations: Accurately ring customer purchases/returns and count change back to customer according to established operating procedures, promoting credit and loyalty programs during customer interactions.
  • Store Recovery: Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day, maintaining all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor.
  • Teamwork: Work effectively with peers and supervisors to accomplish tasks, providing and accepting ongoing recognition and constructive feedback.
Requirements
  • Customer Service: Possess excellent customer service skills, able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
  • Organizational Skills: Possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of handling multiple tasks at one time.
  • Communication: Possess strong communication skills, able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
