Join Our Team as a Skilled Nursing LPN

Fleet Landing is a dynamic and purpose-driven community that offers a unique opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. As a Skilled Nursing LPN, you will be responsible for supervising the floor care of residents assigned to your floor, following approved medical procedures, and complying with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all Nursing Assistants assigned to you follow the written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of their assigned area.
  • Provide leadership to and supervision of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
  • Chart all accidents/incidents involving a resident.
  • Chart nurses' notes in an informative manner, complete required record keeping, record new diet orders, transcribe physician's orders, and report all discrepancies to the Unit Manager.
  • Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
  • Ensure that narcotic records are accurate, dispose of drugs as required, and notify the attending physician of automatic stop orders.
  • Notify residents' attending physician and next of kin when there is a change in the resident's condition, and inform family members of the death of a resident.
Qualifications:
  • Must be licensed as a Practical Nurse and hold a valid license for the State of Florida or show proof of an application for such.
  • Current valid CPR certification is required.
  • Must have knowledge of all phases of nursing care to residents and previous experience in a convalescent home, skilled nursing facility, or general hospital with supervisory or charge nurse abilities.
  • Some experience in geriatrics is preferable.
