Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Christie Clinic is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our department of Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) in Bloomington, Illinois.
Responsibilities- Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative medicine under the supervision of a physician.
- Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients.
- Review patient records and interpret data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Perform physical exams, order laboratory and diagnostic procedures, and administer injections and medications.
- Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention.
- Provide patient education and instruct patients on medication and treatment instructions.
- Assist physicians with recording patient progress notes, issuing diagnostic orders, and transcribing orders.
- Triage patient telephone calls and provide consultation.
- Perform independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations.
- Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
- Illinois State Licensure
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
- Illinois State controlled substance license
- Successful completion of a post-basic Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistants program
- Successful completion of the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistants exam
- Evidence of annual completion of health-related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU
Work is performed in a clinical setting with frequent exposures to sharp objects, communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
Requirements may include working weekends and/or irregular hours.
