Key Responsibilities- Diagnostic and Repair Services: Use manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify potential problems in vehicles, and perform repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
- Customer Communication: Explain complex mechanical problems and possible solutions to clients, providing clear and concise information to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work Planning and Organization: Plan and execute work procedures using charts, experience, and other organizational methods to ensure efficient and effective repairs.
- Quality Control: Test parts and systems to ensure they work correctly, and verify that all critical parts are checked and tested before completing repairs.
- Automotive Care: Perform basic automotive care tasks, including oil changes and rotating tires, to maintain vehicle health and extend lifespan.
- Part Replacement and Repair: Replace or prepare work and old defective parts of vehicles, and repair or modify vehicles to meet client specifications.
- Qualifications: Must possess a Class A Auto Technician certification, and have a minimum of 5 years of experience working on all vehicle types.
- Tools and Certifications: Must have your own tools, and hold ASE certifications.
- Compensation: Starting at $30/hour, with opportunities for advancement and increased compensation based on certifications and experience.
