The Laboratory Department is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to become a vital part of our expanding team. The Laboratory Technician will be tasked with collecting high-quality biological samples from patients, preparing these specimens for laboratory analysis, and performing administrative duties efficiently to support departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by welcoming patients and the community with professionalism.
  • Accurately collect specimens following established protocols and ensure proper processing.
  • Verify patient identities meticulously to ensure safety and accuracy in service delivery.
  • Handle data entry and specimen processing, including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing samples as per testing requirements.
  • Conduct clerical tasks related to the department, such as inventory checks, supply management, and phone inquiries.
  • Exhibit problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Certifications:

  • Phlebotomy certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience:

  • Preferred experience of one year in phlebotomy, though not required.
  • Experience in customer service within a retail or service setting is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional engagement with both staff and patients is essential.
  • This position may require travel to various locations.
