Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant to join our team in the Core Laboratory. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our medical technologists and technicians in performing routine sample handling, supply, and administrative tasks. You will also communicate information to authorized personnel and contribute to a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine sample handling and supply tasks in accordance with written policies and procedures.
- Assist medical technologists and technicians with laboratory tests and procedures.
- Communicate information to authorized personnel, including laboratory results and test status.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment by following laboratory protocols and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some college-level biology or chemistry classes preferred.
- Entry-level experience in a laboratory setting.
Benefits
- Full-time employees working at least 72 hours per pay period are eligible for benefits.

Work Schedule
- The laboratory is staffed seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
- Personnel may be assigned to work mostly one shift or have a rotational schedule consisting of day, evening, and night shifts.
- Rotational coverage of holidays is expected.
- Expected to work overtime and/or additional weekends in times of staffing shortages, emergencies, and unexpected increases in workload.
