Job Summary

The Misericordia University Department of Speech-Language Pathology seeks a highly qualified Non-Tenure Track (NTT) Faculty Member to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for supervising the clinical work of graduate and undergraduate students, overseeing clinical assessments, interventions, and treatments, and providing guidance that fosters the development of essential skills for clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in speech-language pathology and contribute to professional development initiatives
  • Supervise clinical work of graduate and undergraduate students
  • Oversee clinical assessments, interventions, and treatments
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students
  • Attend departmental and clinical meetings, collaborate with faculty and staff, and ensure that all clinical activities align with program standards and regulatory guidelines
Requirements
  • Master's degree or clinical doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology/Communicative Sciences and Disorders
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of clinical experience in both child language and neurogenic disorders
  • Previous clinical supervision experience is strongly preferred
  • Previous teaching experience is strongly preferred
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association in Speech-Language Pathology or dual certification
  • Valid license from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of State Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with software updates and technology integration
  • Ability to perform continuing education and training in additional technology as needed
