About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at HealthEcareers - Client as a travel professional. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Job Summary

The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the cardiac catheterization team, ensuring the safe and effective performance of invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct, safe, competent, and quality patient care in the Interventional Cardiology department.
  • Assist in the performance of various invasive cardiac or peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Sustain a high level of patient care by communicating with patients, families, and physicians and co-working to address the physical, general, and psychosocial needs of the patients.
  • Function under the direction and immediate supervision of the cardiologist/radiologist performing the procedure.
  • Assist cardiologists during procedures by operating ancillary equipment, anticipating and obtaining catheters, wires, and other necessary inventory and medications as ordered.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
  • Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
  • Work effectively to maintain an environment of excellence, which is patient-focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment for both staff and customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.
  • Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.
Requirements
  • Current License in good standing.
  • Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials.
  • Two years of Cath Lab experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
