Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be adept at managing various clinical tasks, including:

  • Administering drips such as Insulin and Cardizem
  • Performing foley catheter insertions
  • Administering subcutaneous Insulin
  • Conducting potassium runs
  • Utilizing cardiac monitors
  • Monitoring and reporting low potassium levels and oxygen saturation

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of experience is required, with first-time travelers considered. The average daily patient census is 12, with a total of 25 rooms and beds available.

Staffing Ratios
  • Days: 1:5
  • Nights: 1:6
  • Weekends: 1:6

Patient Demographics

The patient age groups include:

  • Infants
  • Pediatrics
  • Adolescents
  • Adults
  • Geriatrics

Additional Information

Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Familiarity with medication systems such as Omnicell and documentation systems like Meditech is essential. Charting experience is mandatory.

Certifications Needed

  • ACLS
  • BCLS
  • PALS (preferred)

Guaranteed Hours

Standard hours are guaranteed with specific rules for overtime:

  • 8 Rule: 40.00 hours per week
  • 10 Rule: 40.00 hours per week
