Labor and Delivery Surgical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our Labor and Delivery team at Lowell General Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety during surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Select and prepare appropriate supplies and equipment for surgical cases
- Participate in surgery by organizing instrumentation for the surgeon, participating in surgical counts, and performing related activities under the direction of the surgeon
- Assist the circulator with positioning, obtaining needed items during surgery, and assisting in room turnover activities
- Participate in Labor & Delivery activities related to quality improvement, continuing education, orientation of new personnel, and emergency preparedness
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a surgical technologist in a surgical facility, completion of a training program for surgical technology in the military, or graduation from an accredited Surgical Tech Program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
