Job Summary
We are seeking a Caregiver / Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Caregiver / Direct Support Professional, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, and behavioral challenges.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, and behavioral challenges.
- Assist individuals with their personal hygiene and support individuals who can have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
- Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
- Take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
- Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
- Expand your knowledge of psychology by supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Requirements
- No experience required.
- No high school diploma required.
- Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance required for day and evening shifts.
- Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
- Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
