We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Before & After School Teacher at Chesterbrook Academy. In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and manage engaging learning environments for students, promoting their growth and development.

Company Overview: Spring Education Group's Early Childhood Education Division includes nearly 150 schools offering services from infant care through Pre-K/K programs, as well as summer camp and after-school programs. Our locations span a nationwide geographic footprint and a diverse array of pedagogical approaches, including proprietary methods drawing from renowned educators such as Dewey, Piaget, and Vygotsky, Montessori schools embracing accredited methods, and progressive language immersion programs in Mandarin and Spanish.

About the Role: As a Before & After School Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of your students. You will work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to promote a positive and inclusive school environment. Your primary objective will be to foster a love of learning in your students, helping them develop essential skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Culture: Positively influence your peers to work toward and meet the school's vision of excellence. Ensure quality education programs and successful implementation of approved curriculum.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and attractive learning environment. Comply with accreditation and state licensing requirements, as well as all applicable state and federal laws, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Educate, Inspire, Engage: Develop life-long learners who genuinely care about children and possess sensitivity and knowledge to understand individual needs while fostering an inclusive classroom.
  • Relationship Building: Collaborate with a talented team of diverse educators and administrators. Develop and maintain interpersonal relationships with families, students, and the school community.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in early childhood education or equivalent preferred. Minimum of a GED and 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare facility.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.
  • Must be comfortable driving a mini bus and transporting children.
  • Age requirement: At least 25 years old.
