Job Summary:
The Operations Planning Analyst is tasked with implementing the daily production strategy by validating and coordinating with the Master Production Schedule (MPS), Operations Manager, and Shipping & Utilities Supervisor. This role requires a thorough understanding of the MPS's weekly, monthly, and quarterly rough schedules, alongside the capabilities of plant assets and personnel. All process orders and transfers must be accurately created and maintained to support both operations and utility functions (shipping and receiving). The Operations Planning Analyst collaborates with the Production Planner to guarantee the precise and timely flow of Raw and Packaging Materials into the facility. As a member of the MPS Team, this role not only provides coverage for the MPS during absences but also assists in various departmental functions as needed. Cross-training in all roles is vital for success in this position.
Role Specific Responsibilities:
- Implements the daily production strategy for operations (including all reactors and catalyst columns) and utility functions (all packaging).
- Generates process orders to support all production and transfers within the plant.
- Establishes process orders to facilitate the packaging strategy.
- Creates all product transfer orders for both operations and utility functions.
- Ensures timely and accurate operational SAP transactions, such as goods receipts and goods issues, to rectify process order discrepancies and other issues.
- Manages the daily raw material and packaging transfers for tollers.
- Assists the site in Physical Inventory and Cycle Counts.
- Collaborates with other departments (Operations Manager, Controller, QC Manager, and Engineering) to ensure BOM accuracy and POV.
- Coordinates SAP returns processing from customers against authorized return sales orders and liaises with Customer Service.
- Acts as a backup for the Master Production Scheduler role.
- Engages with various internal and external positions related to Aurorium.
- Performs additional duties as required by Aurorium.
- Participates in the end-of-month process order cleanup.

Education & Qualifications:
- College Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
- Preferred educational background includes business administration, accounting, logistics, or a related technical field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Logistics (or equivalent) is required.
- Experience with SAP Product, MRP, and ATP Modules is essential.
- Preferred experience in chemical plant manufacturing.
