Plastic Surgery Office Nurse

We are seeking an experienced office-based registered nurse to join our team at New York Plastic Surgical Group, a division of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group. Our practice has treated over half a million patients and developed many of the region's specialty centers.
The ideal candidate will have a compassionate approach and maintain a positive relationship with the patients and staff. They will also have excellent communication skills and be familiar with cosmetic procedures and reconstructive surgery.
The responsibilities of this role include ensuring the practice meets all applicable OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, and Quad A standards, reviewing the doctor's schedule for the day, and preparing rooms accordingly. The nurse will also perform patient screening tasks, review medical history, and assist surgeons in preparing for and performing examinations and minor procedures.
The nurse will collaborate with physicians and other team members to ensure all the patient's needs are met. They will review pre-operative packets with patients before surgery, discuss patients' procedures with them, and answer questions. The nurse will also provide, prepare, or administer medications and treatments in accordance with surgeon protocols.
The ideal candidate will have a current NYS RN licensure, a bachelor's degree, and BLS certification. They will also have a minimum of one year of work experience in an office setting and be familiar with ASPS, ISPAN standards, OSHA guidelines for ambulatory practice, and quality assurance.
