Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at Baptist Health. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrol hospital grounds to prevent and detect crime, and to provide a visible presence to deter potential security threats.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist patients, employees, and visitors as needed, providing support and guidance to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Control vehicular and foot traffic to maintain a secure environment.
  • Operate security CCTV systems to monitor and respond to security incidents.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Prior civilian or military law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license in Alabama and POST certification or DD 214.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and customer-centric composure in difficult situations.
  • Ability to work from broad directions and be self-motivated.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time day shift position. The Security Officer will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
