With a strong reputation built on innovative approaches and multidisciplinary teams formed with exceptional employees, we are seeking an experienced engineer to support extensive high-visibility integration of unique modeling software into AFSIM.

This role offers opportunities to work in a dynamic environment with state-of-the-art technologies, simulation integration experts, and Subject Matter Experts (SME) in Washington, DC. The work focuses on modeling and simulation development for emerging technologies for the U.S. Department of Defense.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Analysis and debugging skills of developmental software.
* Integrate/federate air-to-air engagement scenarios from BRAWLER into AFSIM.
* Develop integration plans, procedures, and organize resources to facilitate integration of advanced technologies into AFSIM.
* Document activities, including writing reports, analyzing progress, and making recommendations to the team.
* Work both individually and with a broader engineering team.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

* Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
* At least a BS degree in STEM-focused studies, and at least 5 years of related experience.
* Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: possess a Top Secret/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility.
* At least 2 years of hands-on experience creating AFSIM scenarios and models for engagement and/or mission level studies.
* At least 2 years of hands-on BRAWLER experience.
* Proficiency developing object-oriented software in C/C++ with Visual Studio integrated development environment.
* Demonstrated ability to write, understand, and maintain FORTRAN code.
* Candidates should have experience with Modern Software Development practices and tools such as AGILE, Kanban, Git, Artifactory, Cucumber, Jira, Jenkins, etc.
* Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
* Ability to work well in team environments.
* Ability to travel, as required.

**Estimated Salary:** $6577 - $90,000 per annum based on location and experience.
