Prison Labor Supervisor

Job Summary:

Nitelines USA, Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Prison Labor Foreman to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising and observing inmate activities, maintaining security, and ensuring compliance with state and departmental policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and observe inmate activities to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Maintain security of inmates and the general public by implementing effective security protocols.
  • Complete regular inmate attendance counts to ensure accurate records.
  • Search inmates, equipment, and vehicles to remove contraband and maintain a secure environment.
  • Administer medications and first aid to inmates as needed.
  • Transport inmates to and from assignments safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure inmate compliance with state and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain daily reports of all accidents, incidents, and activities.
  • Receive and release inmates transferred to and from correctional facilities.
  • Supervise the routine cleaning and maintenance of tools and vehicles.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No experience requirements, but prior experience in corrections or a related field is preferred.
  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain certification by the Georgia Department of Corrections.
  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, or walking.
  • Occasionally lifts light and heavy objects, climbs ladders, and uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
  • Work is typically performed outdoors, occasionally in cold or inclement weather.
  • May be exposed to dust, dirt, grease, machinery with moving parts, and irritating chemicals.
  • Work requires the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, or gloves.
