Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to a diverse population, utilizing the nursing process and clinical standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Delegate patient care activities to other members of the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Organize and prioritize patient care activities, updating the plan of care in collaboration with patients, family, and significant others.
  • Identify patients at risk for injury or harm, preparing the room environment to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.
  • Monitor, record, and update the care team on patient vitals and assessments, identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition.
  • Respond to medical emergencies for critical patients, utilizing high emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience.
  • Participate in professional development and accountability, staying up-to-date on the latest clinical standards and best practices.
Requirements
  • RN (Registered Nurse) License
  • Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's, or Higher in Nursing
  • 2-year experience in the emergency department
  • BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
  • PALS certification with the American Heart Association
