CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non Exempt

PAY GRADE: NE 25 ($27.96 per hour)

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm, Friday 8:30am-6:30pm, Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm

Position Summary:

The primary objective of the Relationship Banker is to cultivate and enhance client relationships. You will foster client loyalty by adopting a comprehensive approach to assist them in achieving their financial aspirations, both short-term and long-term. This role involves active participation in a collaborative team environment, contributing to the organizational culture and working alongside colleagues to meet both individual and collective objectives. The position encompasses all aspects of customer service, with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional service and providing consultative recommendations for bank products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze financial and personal data to gain a thorough understanding of customer requirements and educate them on a variety of products and services.
  2. Articulate key product features and advantages to provide suitable solutions for customer spending, saving, borrowing, and investment needs.
  3. Collaborate with partners in Wealth Management, Premier Banking, Business Banking, and Insurance to assist customers with intricate financial and business requirements.
  4. Prioritize the delivery of outstanding client service with precision and operational excellence, including problem-solving and resolving complaints, while engaging business partners as necessary.
  5. Support the branch in achieving individual and team objectives through strong client relationships and teamwork.
  6. Respond promptly to service requests and inquiries from customers, ensuring accuracy and informative follow-up.
  7. Ensure compliance with operational standards in all activities. Assist with branch operations as directed by management.
  8. Maintain vigilance in identifying and reporting any fraudulent or irregular activities.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED required, or currently enrolled high school student anticipating graduation.
  2. Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of cash handling and customer service experience.
  3. Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, including recommending and referring products and services.
  4. Recommended to pass the NYS exam to become a Notary Public within 90 days of accepting the position (Study for this exam is independent, but the company will cover the test fee).
