Job Title: Waiter/Waitress

Job Summary:

Drum & Quill, a legendary historic pub, is seeking a skilled Waiter/Waitress to join our team. As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking orders, and delivering food and beverages in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Provide menu recommendations and additional information to enhance the dining experience.
  • Upsell additional products when appropriate, promoting our menu offerings.
  • Check IDs to prevent minors from ordering alcoholic beverages, ensuring a responsible and safe environment.
  • Take orders using software, order slips, or by memorization, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate order details to the kitchen staff, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Deliver food and beverages in a timely fashion, maintaining a high level of quality and presentation.
  • Deliver checks and collect bill payments, handling cash and credit card transactions with professionalism.
  • Clean and maintain the appearance of tables and tableware, ensuring a clean and inviting atmosphere.
  • Provide exceptional customer experience, addressing guest concerns and ensuring satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a Waiter/Waitress, demonstrating a strong understanding of customer service principles.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, ensuring seamless collaboration with kitchen staff and other team members.
  • Ability to handle money transactions responsibly, maintaining a high level of integrity and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and act quickly, adapting to a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and personal development.
