Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team at Wintergreen Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering exceptional medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load appointments, gather patient history, and primary reason for the visit
  • Collect lab samples for diagnostic testing (venipuncture, urine collection via cystocentesis)
  • Fill prescriptions as prescribed by the veterinarian
  • Utilize in-house IDEXX lab equipment for diagnostic testing
  • Administer vaccines, medications, or other prescribed medications through the proper route of administration
  • Document all services, treatments, client communications in proper platform
  • Assist veterinarian and surgical team with surgical preparation, anesthesia administration and monitoring, and post-op care/recovery
  • Perform intra-oral dental radiographs and ultrasonic scaling with polish
  • Follow all controlled substances rules and regulations
  • Provide patient nursing care and in-house treatments
  • Provide client communication on routine wellness care and other common veterinary diseases
  • Hospital and equipment cleaning and maintenance, including laundry, sweeping, and mopping

Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of in-clinic experience or 1-3 years of experience for licensed technicians
