Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Craftsperson to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a Master Craftsperson, you will be responsible for performing technical functions, troubleshooting problems, and implementing solutions to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency in our aircraft structures department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform technical functions such as correct methods of in-service installations, repairs/mods, and refurbishments.
  2. Troubleshoot any problem areas on in-service aircraft to determine cause and pursue preventative actions with proper liaison.
  3. Assist in problem solving to establish or correct planning methods for in-service aircraft refurbishments and installations efficiently.
  4. Interact with Engineering, Product Support Engineering and Quality Control to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions.
  5. Organize, develop and administer the Employee Skills Development Program.
  6. Identify and develop training requirements for tooling, test equipment and other areas.
  7. Plan, schedule and complete tasks in order to meet service/delivery schedules.
  8. Assist management with supervision and instruction of technicians in proper procedures and techniques of trouble shooting airframe, routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  9. Maintain a current knowledge of industry standards, vendor information and all other procedures, publications and general knowledge pertaining to product support installations, repairs, and refurbishments.
  10. Support Lean activities.
Requirements
  1. Thorough knowledge of manufacturing and/or repair station procedures and specifications, plant safety, tooling, and quality requirements.
  2. Must have an established track record of troubleshooting manufacturing or installation processes.
  3. Proficient knowledge of all applicable machinery and processes necessary to perform the job.
  4. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
