Compensation: $20.70 per hour (90% of wage during initial probationary period)

Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Operation & Maintenance Supervisor, the Laborer will perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks essential for the effective functioning of the department. The role includes:

  • Assisting in the maintenance and operation of equipment and facilities.
  • Utilizing hand and power tools to carry out various labor tasks.
  • Performing physical labor such as digging, cleaning, and landscaping.
  • Operating light utility vehicles for transportation to job sites.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of vehicles and equipment.
  • Handling materials and supplies, including loading and unloading.
  • Implementing safety measures by placing warning signs and barriers.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience in unskilled or semi-skilled labor.
  • A valid motor vehicle operator's license.

This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Candidates should be prepared to perform manual tasks and operate a range of tools and equipment.
