Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our esteemed healthcare organization. This role is essential in delivering high-quality speech-language therapy to patients in need.

Department Details

  • Department: Speech Pathology
  • Schedule: PRN, with operational hours Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including rotating weekends (minimum of one per month) and on-call duties on Sundays and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide therapeutic interventions for patients requiring speech-language therapy.
  • Utilize established therapy techniques tailored to each patient's specific condition.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and expected outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to performance improvement protocols.
  • Assist in planning and executing patient discharge from therapy services, including providing information on relevant support programs.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Current BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer.
  • Speech-Language Pathologist credential from the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services required prior to employment.
  • Preferred: Credential from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Master's degree is preferred.

Additional Preferences

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence is highly regarded.
