Senior Civil Engineer

About the Role:

CME Associates, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Licensed Civil Engineer (PE) to serve as the project engineer in-responsible-charge of our contracted special inspections and structural tests. As a vital member of our team, you will oversee the initial set-up and management of the Project Special Inspections Program.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our team to relay Inspection Program requirements to clients
• Provide technical expertise on construction-related problems, failures, or issues
• Perform on-site inspections and technical review of test/inspection reports for compliance with construction contract documents and New York Building Codes
• Certify the Inspection/Testing Program at project completion
• Act as liaison with Registered Design Professionals and Code Enforcement Officials
• Exercise duty of care to the public as the Owner's Agent in the execution of the Special Inspections Program

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or current Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with goal of earning PE
• Experience with building codes and standards governing special inspections and structural tests
• Friendly, forthright, diplomatic, and communicative business demeanor
