The Transplant RN Coordinator II is a key member of the Transplant Center team at MUSC, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals undergoing heart transplant procedures. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement advanced clinical management strategies to promote quality care for heart transplant patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and coordination
- Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the transplant process
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry developments to ensure compliance and best practices
- Contribute to the ongoing training and development of new staff members
- Bachelor's degree in nursing and three years of experience as a registered nurse
- Transplant nursing experience preferred
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with diverse groups and individuals
- Highly developed analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure
- Current South Carolina licensure or compact state licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) certification
The Transplant RN Coordinator II will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities. The role will involve working with a variety of stakeholders, including patients, families, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff.
