Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care under the guidance of a physician. This role involves preparing and assessing patients for provider visits, observing and recording patient responses to medical care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to meet patient needs.

Essential Functions:
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Implement the plan of care by providing direct basic nursing care in accordance with LPN scope of practice
  • Label and package specimens as trained, and assist with indirect care through various clerical or administrative duties as assigned by the registered nurse
  • Act as a chaperone for healthcare providers during patient examination as requested, and assist with procedures, treatments, and interventions
  • Other duties as assigned
Certifications:

Active state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure or LPN applicant, and Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association certification

Experience:

One year of clinical patient care experience (preferred, not required)

Skills & Abilities:

Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to all ages of patients, learn and use a computer-based patient appointment scheduling and registration system, work in a fast-paced environment with a team, and possess strong interpersonal communication and organization skills
