Delightful Bakery Master

Sam's Club is seeking a highly skilled Delightful Bakery Master to join our team in Conroe, TX. As a Delightful Bakery Master, you will be responsible for driving member service in your area to deliver more of what members love, for less.

We are looking for an exceptional individual who can work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member's expectations. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; be flexible to the needs of the business; maintain in-stock levels; and control shrinkage.
• Be an Expert: Plan bakery productions, ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs; follow recipe measurement instructions; work with various products to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items; ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
• Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
• Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; prepare for seasonal events that impact the bakery volume (e.g., holidays, graduations, family events); identify member needs; assist members with purchasing decisions; and resolve member issues and concerns.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Be a brand advocate by valuing the member's experience in Bakery and modeling high-quality service and products; interact with associates to understand roadblocks and assist in training; develop, influence, and inspire them for working in a style that is respectful, supportive, and team-oriented.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; and apply these in executing business processes and practices.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• 6 months' experience in fresh production area
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Able to successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if offered the position

Prior experience in cake decorating is preferred.

The estimated salary for this position is $19.25 per hour, based on the location and job responsibilities. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
