Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Epic Clinical Project Coordinator to join our team at Methodist Health System. As a key member of our health informatics team, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing various initiatives and projects related to our Epic clinical applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, direct, and coordinate initiatives throughout the organization to ensure successful results.
  • Apply qualitative and quantitative analysis within the framework of an improvement methodology supported by change management strategies to projects and initiatives.
  • Work closely with Directors and Managers as well as Team Leads to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes, and budgets.
  • Perform various coordinating tasks, including but not limited to schedule management and administrative duties such as maintaining project documentation and resource allocation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in healthcare, Business, Informatics, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree in healthcare, Business, Informatics, or a related field preferred.
  • Active clinical licensure preferred, but not required.
  • Epic certification in a clinical application or data/analytics application preferred.
  • Project Management or Process Improvement certifications strongly preferred.
  • Certification in performance improvement (i.e. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Project Management Professional, PDSA, DMAIC, etc.) required within 18 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, including project leadership experience, implementation and support of EHR related projects, quality management or data management/analytics in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Solid organizational skills, including multi-tasking and time management.
  • Ability to work closely with and communicate effectively with department leaders, physicians, and clinical staff regarding technical and analytical strategies and how they align with clinical processes.
