JOB SUMMARY:
The Imaging Services Technologist is responsible for conducting radiologic examinations for patients under the supervision of the Medical Director of Imaging Services. This role involves operating radiographic equipment to capture diagnostic images of the body, along with performing related tasks that support patient care delivery.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
Required education to obtain necessary certification.
Must possess a current certification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) from the State of California.

EXPERIENCE
Preferred one year of clinical experience; however, new graduates are welcome to apply.

PREREQUISITE SKILLS
  • Proficiency in performing diagnostic imaging studies for patients across all age groups, from infants to seniors.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively and compassionately with all individuals.
  • Participation in Quality Improvement activities may be required occasionally.
LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
Must hold a current certification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist in accordance with California regulations and possess a Basic Life Support Certificate.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Exhibit competence in performing all imaging procedures as outlined in departmental policies.
  • Utilize PACS devices effectively to acquire and present studies for interpretation.
  • Present patient studies accurately, including relevant clinical history and necessary data for interpretation.
  • Communicate any equipment issues to management promptly for resolution.
  • Consistently apply universal precautions in all patient interactions.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills to address issues as they arise.
  • Regularly interact with the Radiology Information System to ensure accurate procedural documentation.
  • Maintain positive and professional interactions with colleagues and physicians.
  • Assist with clerical tasks as needed to facilitate efficient processing of patient studies.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
Other responsibilities may be assigned, including participation in quality assurance studies, quality control tasks, and attendance at departmental meetings.
