Job Title: Medical Support Associate

In this role, you will provide support to our medical team as a floater in various physician offices. Your duties will include greeting patients, taking their medical history, documenting patient information, and assisting with examinations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and obtain necessary information
  • Accurately complete and document patient medical histories and other related items in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Record vital signs and perform non-complex office procedures such as EKGs and spirometry
  • Aid physicians and nursing staff during treatments and examinations
  • Maintain examination rooms, including inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Distribute educational information and instructions for patient care, diagnostics, and other appropriate treatments
  • Coordinate prescription refills and advise physicians of patient reactions to medication
  • Attend meetings and participate in committees as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program
  • One year of experience in a medical office setting
  • BLS certification
  • Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on location and experience.
