Job Title: Director of Neuroscience

Portsmouth Regional Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Director of Neuroscience to oversee the Neurosciences Service Line Management, including Neurosurgery, Sleep Lab, EEG/EMG, Neuro Related Clinics, Concussion Clinic, Stroke & Other Neurology related operations, as well as the management of the Trauma Service line to include the trauma program and acute care surgery and surgical critical care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with unit managers, physicians, and administration to guide the facilities growth, patient satisfaction, physician relations, operational improvements and efficiencies, employee satisfaction/engagement, and fiscal responsibility for all Neurosciences and Trauma related operations.
  • Work closely with the Trauma Medical Director to promote the goals of the Trauma Program, qualify all care issues, and optimize patient care across the age and injury spectrum.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for the service line in collaboration with senior leadership, including development of Service Line Structure.
  • Coach employees, managers, and others involved in Neurosciences Service Line and Trauma Service Line, as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge regarding disaster/hurricane preparedness/emergency management.
  • Collaborate with Trauma Registry personnel to assure validity of Trauma Registry data.
  • Analyze data, identify trends/areas for improvement in processes, structures, and systems impacting trauma care patient outcomes.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and communicate quality management issues to pre-hospital providers, and participate in quality improvement activities designed to enhance pre-hospital care.
Requirements:
  • 3-7 years of experience in a Neuroscience Setting.
  • 4-year Bachelor's Degree Required.
