We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Neurosurgery team at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. As a Physician Assistant, you will provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities- Obtain patient history and perform assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic procedures as needed.
- Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions, including counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers.
- Perform preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and care.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
- Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date required.
- Physician Assistant with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board Physician Assistants Task Force obtained prior to hire date required.
- Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 1 year of experience preferred.
