Role Overview:
As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be accountable for delivering a comprehensive range of rehabilitation services, which include assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions in a collaborative environment that aligns with professional standards and ethical practices. You will also contribute to program development, quality enhancement, and productivity improvement within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited program (or equivalent). Current licensure in the state of practice is mandatory, along with a valid BLS certification.

Experience Required:
Experience in assisting patients with rehabilitation, focusing on individuals with disabilities or injuries across various life stages is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor when interacting with patients, families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct initial evaluations, select appropriate assessment tools, and utilize suitable adaptive equipment/materials tailored to the patient's age and developmental stage.
  • Formulate personalized treatment plans with measurable short- and long-term objectives that address functional deficits, ensuring interventions are age-appropriate and cognitively suitable.
  • Assess patient responses to treatment, adjusting plans as necessary, and keeping patients and families informed about progress and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, including progress notes and discharge summaries, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Educate patients and families on strategies and resources to promote ongoing functional independence, involving family members in the treatment and discharge planning process.
  • Engage in professional development through continuing education and departmental training sessions.
  • Adhere to relevant federal and state regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.
  • Meet established productivity benchmarks while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
