Core Driller

We are seeking a highly skilled Core Driller to join our team at Vulcan Materials Company. As a key member of our mining operations team, you will be responsible for drilling and sampling geological formations to gather valuable data for our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Champion Safety: Prioritize safety throughout the operation, adhering to MSHA and Vulcan standards, and ensure all drilling standards are followed.
- Drill and Sample: Operate portable rotary drills to obtain core samples, layout drilling patterns, and maintain accurate drill logs and reports.
- Inspect and Maintain Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain core drilling equipment and tooling, making minor repairs as needed.
- Complete Reports: Conduct pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections and complete core drilling reports as required.
- Experience: Core drilling experience in the mining or aggregates industry is preferred, with a strong understanding of drilling and sampling techniques.
- Flexibility: Ability to work overtime and extended hours, as well as in various weather conditions and with exposure to loud noises.
- CDL License: Possess a valid Class B CDL License or be able to obtain one.
