Join Our Team as an Assurance Senior Associate

At HBK CPAs & Consultants, we are committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients. As an Assurance Senior Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our clients' financial statements.

Responsibilities:
  • Review accounts receivable for collectability and evaluate the adequacy of provisions for loss.
  • Trace inventory items from initial count to final inventory record.
  • Obtain representation letters from clients.
  • Take ownership of engagements, meeting or beating established deadlines.
  • Review internal controls.
  • Investigate unrecorded revenues.
  • Classify accounts for financial statement presentation.
  • Supervise large inventory counts.
  • Determine obsolete or slow-moving inventory items.
  • Review basis of inventory valuation.
  • Evaluate depreciation methods and lives.
  • Determine contingent liabilities.
  • Verify purchases and sales cutoffs.
  • Determine test-checking requirements.
  • Prepare complex tax returns.
  • Suggest tax planning ideas.
  • Write management letters.
  • Review entries subsequent to balance sheet date.
  • Obtain and write up disclosure data.
  • Review and update client files.
  • Draft reports with footnotes.
  • Supervise and train associates.
  • Prepare routine correspondence.
  • Monitor budgets and alert managers to time exceeding budget.
  • Prepare tax correspondence.
  • Maintain good communication with team members.
  • Research accounting and tax questions.
  • Develop positive client relationships.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Identify and resolve engagement issues.
  • Stay up-to-date on professional pronouncements.
  • Follow AICPA and state society regulations.
  • Follow firm procedures and policies.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Accept additional responsibility.
