Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Edgewater, New Jersey.

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary abnormalities.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patients' respiratory status and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families on respiratory care and disease management.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance respiratory care services.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an AMA Respiratory Program or Certificate of completion from an AMA accredited program.
• Current NYS Respiratory Therapist License.
• CRT, RRT or Registry Eligible by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Current BLS by the American Heart Association.
• 1-2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
