Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Summary

By Light is seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Engineer to support the Regional Network Enterprise Center (RNEC) and other classified and unclassified communication systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, installing, and maintaining circuits supporting fire alarms, intrusion alarms, and other safety and security systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement network infrastructure to support the operation of installation post bugle call and public address systems.
• Install and maintain LAN connections in support of the common user wireless infrastructure throughout the Installation Campus Area Network (ICAN).
• Provide local touch labor for troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing fire, safety, security, and other circuits.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
• Foundational Personnel Certification: CompTIA Security+ or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or CyberSec First Responder (CFR) or CompTIA Cloud+ or Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) or GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC).
• Intermediate Proficiency level with 70% of the KSA associated with the DCWF workforce role – Systems Administrator – Work Role ID: 451.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• Minimum of three years' experience supporting fire alarms, intrusion alarms, and other safety and security and monitoring and control systems.
• Fluent in the spoken and written English language, to include the usage of technical terms commonly used in information technology (IT), network routing and switching, telecommunications, IT maintenance, and technical control facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting the Army or other DoD Agency.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates.

Security Clearance

• Secret security clearance.
