Your responsibilities will include assisting patients in preparation for treatment, applying therapeutic modalities, and instructing patients in the use of ambulation aids and transfer techniques.
Essential Responsibilities:Assist patients in preparation for treatment, applying therapeutic modalities in accordance with department policies and procedures. Instruct patients in the use of ambulation aids, transfer techniques, and supportive devices as delegated by the therapist. Document treatment given to patients and maintain accurate medical records. Clean and maintain treatment areas and equipment, and transport supplies as needed. Perform other related duties as necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum one year patient care experience, preferably in a Physical Therapy acute care setting and outpatient setting.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and anatomy.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write correspondence and present information effectively.
