Youth Counselor

Eckerd Connects is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Counselor to join our team. As a Youth Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to at-risk youth in our residential program. Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and nurturing environment that fosters the emotional, social, and educational growth of our clients.

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to youth, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
• Develop and implement behavior modification plans to help youth manage their behavior and develop positive coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to youth care.
• Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of program policies and procedures.
• Document progress and maintain accurate records of youth behavior, treatment plans, and outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, or education.
• At least 2 years of experience working with at-risk youth, preferably in a residential setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
