At Hackensack Meridian Health, we are committed to fostering your professional growth. We are currently in search of a distinguished Board Eligible/Board Certified Palliative Care Physician to become a vital part of our expanding healthcare network, primarily focusing on inpatient care while also offering outpatient services.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
- Working under the guidance of Palliative Care leadership, the physician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurse practitioners, social workers, and chaplains, to deliver outstanding clinical care.
- Be part of a successful program comprising physicians and over twenty certified nurse practitioners dedicated to managing pain and other symptoms, providing advanced palliative care for patients alongside their primary care or specialist teams.
- Proactively identify and implement strategies to enhance the patient and family care experience.
- Engage in educational opportunities with residents and nursing students.
- Participate in shared call responsibilities.
- Potential for a faculty appointment at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited Medical or Osteopathic School.
- Eligibility to apply for a New Jersey Medical License.
- Strong clinical and collaborative abilities, along with a passion for education.
- Hospice & Palliative Medicine (HPM) board-eligible/certified, with fellowship training or a minimum of two years' experience in the HPM field post-board certification.
- Capability to navigate emotionally challenging scenarios associated with serious medical conditions.
- Proficiency in assessing, evaluating, planning, and executing care in complex and life-limiting situations.
