Oyster Bar Specialist

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Oyster Shucker to join our team at Gulf Coast Restaurant Group Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for shucking oysters with precision and speed, ensuring a high-quality dining experience for our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Shuck Fresh Oysters: Accurately and efficiently prepare oysters for consumption by expertly separating the shell from the flesh.
• Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment while adhering to established procedures and health department regulations.
• Assist Kitchen Staff: Provide assistance to kitchen manager and staff with food preparation, including reading and following recipes and plating requirements.
• Oyster Bar Preparation: Ensure the oyster bar is properly prepared according to established procedures, including rotating oysters daily and storing tags as requested.
• Customer Interaction: Engage with guests in a positive and professional manner, providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; previous commercial kitchen experience and basic knife skills preferred.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks that require fine motor skills and attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Salary Information: The estimated annual salary for this position is $43,200 - $55,000, depending on experience and location. Benefits include opportunities for advancement, competitive compensation, and a dynamic work environment.
