We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Software Engineer to join our team at Peraton. This is a full-time employee role with benefits and PTO.

This remote opportunity requires the ability to obtain a SECRET or above clearance.

About the Role

As a Senior ServiceNow Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing software configuration across various technical areas
  • Analyzing business requirements and developing technical requirements
  • Developing and designing application modules, workflows, and catalog requests
  • Developing and delivering ServiceNow-based solutions for clients
  • SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT AND SUSTAINMENT OF A SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT THAT COVERS THE ENTIRE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LIFECYCLE USING CURRENT METHODOLOGIES TO INCLUDE CONTINUOUS DEPLOYMENT, AGILE, AND DEVELOPMENT OPERATIONS (DEVOPS)
  • Designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging applications software
  • Conducting multidisciplinary research and collaborating with cross-functional engineering and development teams in the planning, design, development, and utilization of Cloud-based capabilities for the development, modification, and deployment of software
  • Analyzing user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
  • Conferring with systems analysts, engineers, and cross-functional teams to design software and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces
  • Providing support to the Chief Enterprise Architect, Release Train Engineer, Senior Leadership, and the client with regards to software development best practices
  • SUPPORTING QUALITY ASSURANCE AND QUALITY CONTROL VERIFICATION WITHIN ALL APPLICABLE PHASES OF SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT TO ASSURE ALL ACTIONS ARE COMPLETED IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPROPRIATE POLICY, STANDARDS, AND PROCEDURES
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BS/BA and minimum 5 years of demonstrable experience or High School and 9 total years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Ability to guide customers through understanding technical solutions to their business requirements
  • Proficiency in scripting, Java, JavaScript, ITIL, and ServiceNow
  • Experience with modern JavaScript Libraries (Angular, Backbone, Marionette, Require, jQuery)
  • Expert-level HTML/CSS
  • Experience in implementing scripted Web services in ServiceNow, SOAP, REST, and integrations with external systems
  • Excellent documentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with teams across geographical locations
  • Ability to participate in video meetings as required
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance (US Citizenship required)
  • Ability to obtain/maintain any additional security access required for the position
  • US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS include working knowledge of one of the cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, advanced working knowledge of ITIL and Configuration Management Best Practices, advanced understanding of the infrastructure tools, servers, databases, working knowledge of Networking, and Storage Technologies, CompTIA A+, Network+, and/or Security+ Certifications.
