Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Singing River Health System Hospital in Gulfport. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals
  • Exercise professional judgment in performance of services and apply principles of radiation protection
  • Operate equipment requiring detailed concentration for extended periods of time
  • Stock and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies
  • Maintain quality control of procedures and quality assurance of equipment
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a health field required
  • Graduate of an approved Nuclear Radiology Technology Program required
  • Currently licensed as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, RT Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or a Medical Radiation Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, Inc. (NMTCB)
  • Licensed by the Mississippi State Department of Health
  • BCLS certification required
Working Conditions:

Work involves exposure to communicable diseases, CRT equipment, blood and/or body fluids, and electromagnetic energy. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and do a great deal of walking without experiencing undue fatigue.

This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule and call requirements.
