Job Summary
Western Technical College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach law enforcement courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and promoting social justice within the division and the larger academic institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver courses in multiple modes of delivery, including face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
  • Develop and deliver instructional design activities that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Monitor student progress, conduct student evaluations, and provide input on division accreditation and student records.
  • Responsible for instructional learning activities, academic referrals, and organizing, developing, and delivering outcomes-based curriculum.
  • Complete all required College training and maintain the skills necessary to complete the essential functions of the position.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Three years (or 6000 hrs) certified occupational experience as a jail officer

Preferred qualifications include an Associate Degree, Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field, and teaching experience. The successful candidate must be eligible for or meet WTCS Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements and maintain individual program certification as required.
