We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Truck Driver – CDL to support our Pavement Marking team. This role involves working in the Grand Junction, CO area, where you will not only drive but also collaborate with a team to effectively paint and stripe roadways. A valid CDL Class A License with Hazmat endorsement is required, along with a willingness to travel and work overnight.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting pay for this position is $30.00 per hour, based on experience. This role requires travel for up to two weeks at a time, with accommodations and daily per-diem provided. Training will occur in a designated location with covered housing and per-diem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain Heavy Equipment (Epoxy or Grinder truck) for pavement marking services
  • Utilize both hand-operated and motorized equipment to remove pavement markings
  • Drive a Striper Truck at low speeds during painting operations
  • Handle construction materials, including pavement marking supplies and traffic control devices
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment
  • Perform mechanical repairs and ensure equipment functionality
  • Travel between job sites, which may involve overnight stays
Qualifications
  • Valid CDL A driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Minimum of 2 years driving experience and familiarity with federal motor carrier safety regulations
  • HAZMAT certification is necessary for Epoxy Truck Drivers; preferred but not required for Grinder Truck Drivers
  • Ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required
  • Mechanical skills and experience with vehicles and diesel mechanics
  • Physical capability to lift 75 pounds and endure extended periods of standing, sitting, and bending
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
